Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: Our home is a new-build apartment in Dublin in a very leafy neighborhood 3 kilometers from the city center. When we relocated to Dublin, we found ourselves drawn to this new development that focused on good design surrounded by nature. Apartments that were built for living, with great storage and facilities like a communal cinema and gym.
I’m most at home outdoors, so our apartment is a nod to nature. Our apartment is full of plants, and both balconies are a spectrum of green, spaces peppered with ferns and palms.
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Calm, modern, urban
What is your favorite room and why? The Nook. It’s a little area in our open-plan living space just off the kitchen that we use for dining. It’s a great space for entertaining with its boxed seating and big picture window. We painted it in Pantone’s Pine Green to complement our plants that thrive in this greenhouse-like space.
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? Hay sofa from Maven, a beautiful lifestyle store in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We love its simplicity. (And it’s dachshund-friendly!).
Any advice for creating a home you love? Wait! Be patient, and get to know your home before decorating. Find out which rooms are bright and which are darker, and decorate each room in such a way to complement its natural state.
